Request for Public Information
Texas Public Information Act (PIA)
The Texas Public Information Act (“Act”) gives the public the right to request access to government information. The Education Service Center, Region 2 (ESC-2), complies with the Act by providing the following standard procedure for all members of the public to request public information records.
REQUEST PUBLIC INFORMATION:
To request public information from the ESC-2, please submit the request in writing to:

To ensure accuracy and efficiency of filling the request for public information, all requests should contain the following information:
1) Full name and contact information of the individual making the request and any organizational affiliation;
2) A complete description of the records being requested including date ranges, categories, subject matter, etc.; and
3) The preferred format for record delivery (e.g. electronic copy to be emailed, electronic copy to be stored and delivered on a CD or other storage device, hard copy to be viewed on the premises, etc.).

All requests for public information must be made for information already in existence. The ESC-2 is not required to produce new information, generate records, or perform legal searches. Before submitting a request for public information, please visit the websites below as other entities may house and have readily accessible the information being requested.
